Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of making aromatherapy candles using used cooking oil in RT.18, Corp Housing Sempaja Timur. The background of this program stems from the lack of community understanding regarding the management of used cooking oil as a base for aromatherapy candles. Transforming used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles offers an innovative solution for waste reduction while creating economic opportunities for the community. The method used is participatory-based training involving 15 participants. The training results showed that it was conducted smoothly with positive feedback from the participants. The participants successfully understood and applied the techniques for making aromatherapy candles and expressed enthusiasm for further developing this program. In conclusion, this training has had a positive impact by enhancing the participants' knowledge and skills in utilizing used cooking oil waste and has the potential to improve local economic welfare.
