About the Journal
Coelogyne pandurata, widely known as the Black Orchid, is an endemic flora of Kalimantan that possesses significant ecological, philosophical, and cultural values. Its dark and elegant appearance symbolizes grace, luxury, resilience, and exotic beauty. As a rare plant species that grows only in specific habitats, the Black Orchid also represents environmental conservation, regional cultural identity, and the richness of Kalimantan’s tropical biodiversity that must be preserved sustainably.
Inspired by these values, JURNAL ANGGREK HITAM was established as a scientific publication that embodies the spirit of innovation, resilience, and community empowerment. The journal is published by the Faculty of Agriculture, Widya Gama Mahakam University Samarinda and focuses on publishing articles related to community service and applied research in agricultural development. It serves as an academic platform for lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and students to disseminate ideas, appropriate technologies, and practical solutions that contribute to community empowerment and sustainable agricultural development.
JURNAL ANGGREK HITAM accepts manuscripts in both Indonesian and English, covering topics such as agricultural innovation, community empowerment, food security, natural resource management, agricultural technology, and the strengthening of community capacity based on local potential. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process conducted by independent reviewers to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific relevance of every published article.
Through the name “ANGGREK HITAM,” the journal aspires to become a symbol of excellence, uniqueness, and local identity in scientific publication, while making meaningful contributions to the advancement of knowledge and community service in the fields of agrotechnology and agriculture.
